Someone posted on craigslist.org about the possibility of US concentration camps. I don't know the validity of this website or its contents, but it does tell me one thing - I am not giving up my guns!

Watch the 2 videos at the top of the page. Maybe someone else can educate me about this...

I don't know that this "what if" conjecture by the camera crew amounts to much. Derelict warehouses and train lines don't establish a conspiracy against the people and constitution. Maybe there's something in it - who knows - but I'm disinclined to think that this particular facility is being put to any such use given the access they had. The "black helicopter" remark makes them sound like kooks. Any agency going to the trouble of monitoring the place from the air would have someone on the ground to restrict access.

The congressional hearing tape is a bit more troublesome. Back when I was a rent-a-cop, I actually had to guard Oliver North when he was on his legal defense fundraising trip after Iran-Contra, and I'm willing to believe that anything he's involved in is sinister.

Yes, they exist. There was significant media attention about them during the Clinton years and particularly after September 11th during Bush's tenure.

And a little known directive the president gave himself to award the executive branch total dictatorial powers during an "emergency."

Well over 30 years, it started at least by 1838 when we started rounding up the Cherokees. It has continued off and on ever since, including the internment of Japanese, Germans, and Italians during WW II. And...

Emergency internment camps are currently under construction on U.S. soil by Halliburton’s subsidiary KBR (formerly Kellogg, Brown and Root). According to Business Wire, on January 24, 2006, KBR announced that it had been awarded a $385 million contingency contract by the Department of Homeland Security to build "temporary detention and processing facilities." According to the New York Times, "KBR would build the centers for the Homeland Security Department for an unexpected influx of immigrants".[48] Concern has been raised by civil libertarians and others over the true intention and nature of these camps, that such camps could be used to facilitate implementation of martial law and mass arrests within the United States.
