Is there any laws about carrying spare loaded mags OC in a mag carrier? I know the laws concerning the actual handgun but have not seen anything about mags.

I have tried searching for this and nothing comes up.

I live in Portland. Also would like information on this for Washington as well.

    Any information would be appreciated.

Generally, there is no issue with OC and carring spare mags. However there are a few cities Portland, Oregon City, Tigard, Beaverton, and Salem for example that ban loaded carry and that ban also pertains to having loaded mags as well.

Having a CHL isnessary if you intend open carry "loaded"which alsomitigates the issue of having loaded magsin your possesion.

You have free reign in Washington. Anywhere you are legally able to carry a loaded sidearm, you are free to carry as many spare mags, loaded or not, as you like. (Bearing in mind of course that the appearance of two bandoleers of loaded mags slung across your chest could easily qualify as 'warranting alarm for the safety of others" due to the sheer volume of ammunition you're carrying. )
