There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, ' Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.

The young man said this was no joke.' You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how To forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, free medical, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.

One should always remember 'There is no such thing as a free Lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut!

Ah yes, democracy, the evil that allows all this to happen. The rule of fools by fools.

It's also convenient that this e-mail forward left out free security and free moral guidance... Communism has only been destroying countries for the past 100 years or so. Fascism has been destroying them for much longer.

:cuss: There was no intent to have any democracy in America and I hope there is no future for it!!!! :cuss:

I swear that I am about at the point that I'm shooting the next person who calls this nation a democracy instead of a republic.

It may not be legal in Texas, but I'm thinking it might be legal in Montana. :)

ETA: Though maybe in Texas, if you told the cops that you shot someone who was stealing your country, you might be able to get away with it...

PLEASE don't ease up on the chill pills. The very reason I came here was to get away from all that Democracy/Socialism (remember I am from Sweden originally).

Lighten up everyone. It was a joke.

We as forum members could understand this, but maybe not the Anti's or LEO's that are lurking here.

We are just trying to cover your 6 so that you don't into any legal problems for saying something you didn't REALLY say, right??;)

Er, I didn't intend to offend Texas in that post. Just trying to find a loophole for shooting people who want to see a "democracy". :D

ETA: And of course, for the anti's reading, I'm only talking about shooting to wound, like we're always supposed to do. And using a low-capacity, non-sniper, pellet gun with a 75" barrel.

You'll notice that I have a bad case of premature submitting. I write a post, hit "send", and then immediately think of something good to add. Hence why you'll see most of my edits occurring within 2 or 3 minutes after the original post. :(

:banghead: OMG, I just don't see some anti-2A person at a congressional hearing quoting my writing " I swear that I am about at the point that I'm shooting the next person who calls this nation a democracy instead of a republic" as a reason for more gun control. It would take a nutcase talking to other nutcases and assuming I'm a nutcase to take that as a threat rather than an expression of frustration containing no actual intent to do any such thing. But to assuage the concerns of those who are worried I'll rephrase it:

I swear that I am about at the point that I'm poking the next person who calls this nation a democracy instead of a republic in the butt with a pointy stick.

There, now the antis will leave guns alone and spend all their time and energy trying to ban pointy sticks instead of firearms. :banghead:

GUN CARRIER FIXATED ON BUTTS AND POINTY STICKS
Dissassociated Press Jun. 6. 2008
The latest development in the fight for sensible gun laws comes from an internet forum where one respected member has developed a fixation on butts and pointy sticks. "These people are sick and should not have guns," said one gun-control advocate who would not give her identity. "Anyone who would connect butts and democracyis so far outside mainstream as to be extremist," she said. The Chair of Psychology at a major university, speaking on condition of anonymity, said there was no pathology in the current texts connecting democracy and pointy sticks. He said he would ask for a federal grant to study the problem. Requests for comment frommental health expert Dr. Philip Friedmind were unanswered at press time.

It's not that I actually believe you will be quoted from this exact thread, it's more of the principle of it. Unfortunately, we need to ALWAYS think about what we're saying, because what we say can be interpreted in any way. Maybe you say something to the same effect in Wal-mart, and an anti hears you. I know this seems extreme, but there has to be some level of thought given to what might become of what we say, especially in public.

I wonder what the anti's think about the pointy stick on the end of my SKS... :D
