This afternoon my wife and I went to look at a used car at a small broker in N. Raleigh. I don't always OC, but this marks the first time anyone's said something while I am carrying openly. Went like this:

Salesman: I see your pistol, are you a.... (awkwardness)
Me: No (smiling), just an "open carrier".
Salesman: Well, that's certainly fine. I'm getting my CHP soon - recently applied after taking a class at Dave's (? - a nearby range). But it may take up to 90 days.
Wife: (Nods head) Yes, I have my CHP too.
Me, to salesman: Well, congratulations on that!
... small talk about carrying and personal protection ...

My wife liked the car and we may well buy it next week.
And next time I'll try to remember to mention this site! :dude:
