Something similair like this happened to one of my g/f's many years ago,

Was teaching my g/f at the time to shoot a Beretta 92F, shell casing ejected straight up and back, landing behind her Glasses and resting between her cheek and right side lens thus burning her, as far as I know, she still has the scar of a shell casing on her cheek.

She shoulda kept both hands on the gun and called me to retrieve the casing:celebrate

I had an M16A1 case land on the back of my neck from the shooter next to me while in the prone position during a gun shoot. I hit the safety, laid the gun down and rolled on the ground like I was on fire. Burnt like hell.

At our last convoy live-fire, we were packed into the back of an MTV with the sides rolled up. I had a joker next to me with a 249, and one of his casings landed inside my IBA collar. That sucker rolled down to my shoulder; all I could do was just sit there and let it sizzle. Ended up with a very nice near-3rd degree burn.

BTW, that .22 home-girl shot was pretty damn loud for a .22.
