Is there any problem with me open carrying in NC if i am not a resident of NC? I am a US marine stationed in Athens GA and will be visiting my folks in NC. My home of record for the USMC is NC but i still on the books in NY b/c that is where i have my CHP.

You may open carry here in NC as long as you are legally able to own the firearm.

Don't carry it in establishments that serve alcohol and you will be fine.

This site also list a few other things to be aware of, but that is the main one.

Honestly I wouldn't push it. YOU don't own the bar, your parents do, so it is NOT your private property.
