They say ignorance is bliss, but not for this family.
A four year old is shot in the chest after taking her grandmothers handgun from her purse while shopping at Sams club.
Please, Please, Please educate your kids. Teach them, train them, test them, but don't think for one moment that just because you know what kind of tool you are carrying around, your kids should automatically know.
The kids should be so use to being lectured, and be so use to handling anempty handgun at home, and so use to being taught about firearms, they will not give it second thought when viewed on another person, or in their handbag.
This hurts.
