I'm in Indiana but right now my gf lives in Ashland, Kentucky. We've been having trouble finding a public shooting range nearby when I visit.

    Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, Ashland is on the far East side of the state, right on the border with West Virgina and Ohio.

It seems that everything local there is membership only. I'm going to have to get her up here for us to go shooting together with little hassle.

I have family in the Morehead/Flemingsburg area. I'll try to ask around but I doubt they'll know as most of them live on acreage and we just shoot on the properties.

Bud's gun shop in Paris is where I go, but that is a bit far for you.
