I sent Steve another email about the last shows audio problem. I don't know what the problem is with getting it fixed, unless he's too busy. I will bring it up to him Sat. BTW: Next show; Sat, 12th @ 3.

Sorry I can't make the picnic. I hope someone can call from there and give me a live update.
Good luck with the show this saturday Jerry & Brian. I thought you did quite well (solo) on the last show. I know I speak for all of us that you and Brian will be missed for saturdays event in Grand Rapids. We will try to get a call-in or two to the show.
Thanks for the kind words. PM with your cell number and I can call you during the show and get an update on the picnic.

Unfortunately, I am without a cell. Hopefully, one of the other members who plan to attend will chime in and offer a number.

Jerry posted this on the GR picnic thread, but I also think it can go here for future shows.

Alternate land line phone number for the talk show tmw.

810-208-1854 This is a direct to studio number. Give us a call and update how the picnic is going. Have a great time, I hope to make the next one.

Glad to see you're on top of things. I was going to post here also but had to go eat supper. (mama gets mad, if she cooks and I don't eat)

    Thanks, see you tmw.

Thanks for taking my call-in! The picnic was great! We had 11 people show up, and a few of the attendees talked to some people from the next table over, gave them some information about open carry and gun control in general. Went really well!

And of course, no incidents at all. When we were leaving, someone slowed down and opened their window, thought they were going to call me out, but they were just asking if they could have my parking spot.

Mr. & Mrs. Mastiff69 and I stayed and chatted till about 6:30, at the tables and in the parking lot. Lots of people walking by and lots of cars in and out-not a single word from anyone.

I always make sure to keep up on the shows. I am downloading todays show from itunes now. might want to talk to your producer, because itunes is showing the podcast as being 4 hours and 52 minutes long. maybe it is that long though, which would be great!

It is 4 hours 52 minutes long, because for some reason the recording is full of dead air at the end.

Great show just the same, as always.:celebrate

Thanks very much guys/gals. Thanks to Brian again for co-hosting with me. I hope we are doing some good. I would still like any member who wants to, come on the show. I would like to keep the show fresh and interesting. Having guest hosts from the forum would help to do just that. Different experiences and points of view. Give it a thought and anyone who wants to, PM me or post it, I would be glad to have you.

    Thanks, Jerry

Like I keep saying, I think it would be excellent to make it a show covering the entire country. Imagine having it be the voice of open carry for the whole Nation! Rather than just be a show for us Michiganian's on the forum and a few others who listen, you could talk about issues nation wide, and keep it real fresh and stay busy with new topics from all states. People would be calling in in droves. The listener base would grow exponentially. It would be awesome.

Great idea, but my knowledge is based on Michigan law and I would be concerned giving out info on other states. As far as nationwide, it is world wide as it IS on the Internet and anyone can listen in and participate. He have had people in the chat room from other states, so they are able to contribute. It also is on-line to listen to after the show, so people are able to hear it at a later time. Jerry and I would like to have people, either in person or on the phone call in and add things to talk about, it is a talk show and sometimes Jerry and are are short on words....what am I saying we both love to talk. Still we want others to be involved.

My theory is that you don't need to be a legal expert in other states, many others are legal experts in other states. You can arrange to have people be call in co hosts for half an hour or so from thousands of miles away. Additionally, most people who visit this site and therefor might tune in and call in are already well versed in their states laws. It kind of comes with the territory when you carry a gun legally. It's not like you guys make guarantees of accuracy when you talk about the law. Seems to me the show is more of a way to encourage people to get active, and give out a very basic understanding of what you guys think the law says.

The thing is, for the most part, open carriers experience the same problems. Sure, there are extremes, like Arizona vs LA, but for the great bulk of us the main concerns are how to handle bad encounters with cops, public image, which gun/holster is the best, and other things like that. If someone had a legal question in Delaware, you could potentially look up a quick search on the web, or better still tell them how to since they obviously have it too.

I guess my main point is that if you guys want it to really branch out, you should have a plug for the show in the form of a stickied thread in general discussion.

    Next show: July 26th @ 3pm

Do I have any volunteers for guest host to join myself and Brian for this show? Or any suggestions for show topics you would like to discuss? To keep this show fresh and going strong, we're going to need some input so as not to keep relating the same topic discussion too often.

Do you guys only want open carry subjects or anything that has to do with the 2nd amendment?

Anything in regards to firearms is open season. Also, rights violations in generalare also on topic. Calling in or helping to suggest/book guests would be appreciated.

Ditto to Venator: After all it is Saturday Afternoon Shootout, not Saturday Afternoon Open Carry. So any subject about firearms is fine. I started the show primarily to get the word out about OC. But don't want to restrict the subject matter or topics to just that. We are open to any ideas you guys have.

    Thanks for your support, Jerry

John: Sure, be glad to have you. You don't have to know the law or much of any of thetechnical stuff(that's why I have Venator). Just relate some of your experiences and what "doesn't" happen, most of the time. I'm going to be pushing some long hrs. so I'll PM you the info and directions to the studio.
