CNN ran a report today "Are Guns Safe in National Parks?" Link:

In it they mention that Virginia Residents can legally carry in National parks while Maryland residents cannot.

OK, so there's 272.5 million visitors in 2006...
11 homicides/manslaughter
61 robberies
35 rapes/attempted rapes

Lets see, if each of those 107 people were carrying, there could potentially be 107 dead bad guys. Thats not counting the crimes that weren't reported out of fear of retaliation, embarrassment, etc.
I'd much rather see 107 dead bad guys than 107 victims that could have defended themselves.
It never fails to amaze me how illogical and idiotic these anti's are.
As they see it, just give'em what they want and they'll let you be, or call the cops/rangers. IDIOTS!!!!!
According to the NPS homepage, there are only 20,000 "diverse professionals" employed by the NPS and 145,000 volunteers. I guess 165,000 people can't save 107. Hmmm...doing the math in my head........wait a sec......CHA CHING! CARRY A FREAKIN GUN FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD!!!!

Yup once again. We blood thirsty gun owners will spray blood an mayhem all over nature just as we have done on the streets of America.

Funny how when something goes wrong everyone is calling for the guys with the guns. Except for thoses that would already have them on hand.
