This should be the biggest (mainly open carry) picnic ever - Riverview Farm Park on
Saturday, June 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Newport News).

Even if you live in North Carolina this might be worth coming too!

FROM recent VCDL alert:

This year's VCDL picnic will be held in Riverview Farm Park on
Saturday, June 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Here is a link to information about the park: http://www.nnparks.com/parks_riverview.php

Member Dale Welch tells us that for those using on-board navigation
for directions, enter this address:

105 City Farm Road
Newport News

Delegate Brenda Pogge, who carried HB 529 for VCDL to fruition this
year, will be one of our guest speakers.

There is nothing to bring and there is no cost.

We do ask that you let us know if you are coming so we know how much
food to buy. To RSVP, send an email to:

picnics*vcdl.org

with your name and the number of guests coming with you.

If you can help with the picnic (cooking, setting up/tearing down,
etc.) please include that information in your email.

Um, maybe it's me, but I wouldn't have associated guns with raves if I were posting this.

Paranoid moment over, we now return you to your regularly scheduled sticky.

My bride and Ihad a great time at the picnic today and met some very nice and committed folks. I'm proud to be a member of VCDL. Very nice to put some faces with the names.

Tess, let me know if you get tired of that Goldwing... would be happy to take it off your hands.:D
