A lot of folks use a Florida non-resident permit to CC or OC in thier home state or while visiting other states, so I thought I would post this for them or those thinking about getting one:

from Florida's Licensing website (http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/weapons/renew.html)

Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm Licenses issued on or after Wednesday, June 11, 2008, are valid for a period of seven years.

It was 5 years previously. This is nice because Florida is an expensive permit and having it valied for 2 more years is better value.

As a bonus, you permit is signed by Florida's Agriculture Commissioner, Charles H. Bronson :celebrate
