Going to Hiddenite, NC, I live in Va Beach and possess a valid CHP. I know this is a open cary site, but should I have any problems carry either way on my trip. My Va CHP should allow me to carry concealed, just would like to know.

As long as you do not enter government property, places that sell alcohol for consumption, places that charge entrance fees, and a few other unpopular restrictions, you should be fine.

Just remember, if carrying concealed and approched by law enforcement, in performance of their duties, you have the obligation to inform that you are carrying.
