Does the weapon have to be registered before you can OC?

There is no gun registration...unless you live in NY, CA, or DC

Of course, by weapon I do mean a firearm.

Only if you are open carrying a Class III weapon.

Feel like registering your guns??? Look up "Innocents Betrayed" in YouTube or Google first and tell me what registration leads to.

While I hate it to, I would not advise anyone not to, especially since you are looking at 10 years in Club Fed for not registering machine guns, and since full auto fire can so easily be detected, along with the limited uses of FA as opposed to aimed shots.

So much to lose, so little to gain, I am saying.

It sucks, but you might be careful about being flippant about it to newcomers.

Understood. But history has a way of repeating itself, wouldn't you agree? Register your machine guns if you must, but if Big Brother doesn't know you have it, then Big Brother can't take it.

I was only asking the question at the time because I had gotten a pistol, and hadn't started OCing yet. I was only concerned about my pistols. I'm planning on ever really getting a Class III weapon. Unless you go through the black market, there far too many obstacles to clear. Not to mention the cost of such weapons.
