Maybe a dozen or so, autos and revolvers, over the years.....still have most of them.

I favor Kimbers, but have had Taurus, Rossi, Springfield, Star, Walther, usually quality guns.....never bought what I'd consider an 'ugly' gun. Calibers from .22 to .45, and most everything popular in between.

I think I'm done, though. Got some that fit me really well, so why buy more?

Geez, should we be disclosing how many weapons we own or have owned? Hmm, I view that as private... anyone else agree with me? Are we truly ever safe using electronic communication? ok, I'm paranoid.

Some people replied specifically, some vaguely, some responded as you did that it is private. 1A right to answer the forum question or not. Freedom is a wonderful thing as you are free to do or not do things as you see fit.

Let's see, over the past forty years I've had or have ...

1.) Erma .22LR Luger -- stolen out of my car in 1970
2.) Ruger 4"bbl Security-Six
3.) Ruger Standard .22LR Auto -- traded off for a Mauser rifle
4.) Walther PPK/S
5.) Auto Ordnance Govt. model 1911 -- POS traded off long ago
6.) Tanfoglio CZ 45 -- another candidate for POS and traded in the eighties
7.) Ruger Mark II 5-1/2" bbl. -- gifted to my son when he got out of the Marines.
8.) Astra A-80 .45acp -- traded off
9.) Glock model 22 -- traded off
10.) Steyr S9
11.) Brolin 1911a1 Government Model .45
12.) S&W mod. 2214
13.) S&W model 36
14.) Taurus Millennium Pro PT-140
15.) KBI PJK-9HP copy of a Hi-Power
16.) Rock Island Armory Compact 1911

And looking at that list I realized that each of those, even the ones that were crap, taught me something about handguns and shooting.

I've owned one .22LR SA revolver many years ago.

Don't own any handguns at this time, but will be remedying that shortly. Also in the process of having a WWII issued M-1 Carbine assembled. Do have a 12 gauge pump Bennelli, that I hardly ever take down from the rack.

I've never owned even one. A few have owned me and still do.
At the least, they were very good friends. At the best, like family.

With all I have provided safe accomodations, fodder, a warm dry place to rest, the best of care - kept in good health, learned their strengths and faults, and asked little of them except that they do their very best.

My favorites (yes I admit it, I have favorites) are like siblings - could be fraternal twins - have the same middle name - Moses. One or the other is my constant companion. I trust my life to my friends.
