These guys have a LONG poll with good questions. This same group ran a poll after the VT massacre, and we did not hit it hard enough.

It's a shame that "For what purpose do you own a gun?" wasn't multiple-answer...

"Should convicted fellons [sic] be allowed to own guns?" and "Should mentally ill people be allowed to own guns?" are poorly worded as they don't specificy whether they are talking about when these people are still in institutions, or out in public. I picked "yes" on both to skew the results a bit...

I answered "Do you personally know anyone who has been a victim of a crime that involved a gun in the past three years?" as "yes" to account for OCers who were unlawfully detained (a crime) for OCing (a gun).

And I was forced to pick "liberal" for "political views"...

I agree as to the multiple choice for purpose of owning a gun.
Bob Owens @ Bearing Arms (paraphrased): "These people aren't against violence; they're very much in favor of violence. They're against armed resistance."

I have long participated in Zogby surveys and this PollingPoint feels much like a Zogby, with similarly frustrating questions and limited answers.

Remember, democracy is the rule of fools by fools and polls are the first step in direct democracy.
