Missouri: Permit to buy shotgun/rifle - no firearm owner ID exists to be able to produce so there obviously is no requirement to produce one.

Waiting period to purchase: No and with no more permit to purchase no time wasted waiting for the permit

General: Permit to carry handgun - they make no distinction between OC and CC

Colorado -

You don't need a permit to OC a handgun in Colorado

They're correct in saying that there is no gun ban in Colorado as long as you don't count Denver as being part of Colorado (it doesn't really seem to be)

The map is misleading in that there are two categories listed. 1. Permit to carry Handgun. 2. Concealed Carry. In Virginia you only need a permit to carry concealed handguns, so by their map an average person would think that Virginia is a not a true Free open carry state - no license or permit required. They actually have it right on long guns- no permit required.

Nevada (permit to carry handguns): It says required, but its only required if concealed.

The way they've built the map it seems like every state that has *some* kind of concealed carry right recognized is shown as Permit = yes. To be accurate, they need a seperate OC and CC category.

Exactly, here's their take on it verbatim:

Permit to carry handgun: yes (WRONG!!!!)
NOTE: Permit to carry a concealed handgun not needed outside the limits of cities and towns.
You need a permit to carry concealed everywhere unless it's in your home or vehicle. Plus you can OC everywhere except Denver County and DIA.

Stupid reporters....DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!

WP says you need a permit to carry a handgun in Wyoming. WRONG! You need a permit to carry one concealed.

The errors noted in this thread aint a surprise when you consider the rabidly anti 2nd ammendment, left wing liberal,Washington Post is the source of this so called information.

"Stupid reporters....DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!"

But if they did that they might acuallyprintfacts! Liberal journalism and facts dont mix.
