I see on the bottom of all OpenCarry.org pages the advertisement for "PayPal Donate"

My understanding from reading other articles on the web that PayPal is anti-gun (won’t allow transaction of guns, ammo and other items). Most online dealer’s I see boycott Paypay for this reason.

Why does OpenCarry.org support PayPay?

I wondered about this myself. I know they won't let us do gun transactions via GunBroker with PayPal, and they might can your setup if they become aware that it's for gun advocacy. Just a thought.

We don't "support pay pal" - we just "use" them to accept donatgions generally, and for specific purposes (like the Texas billboard project).

We don't have time or moeny to set up an office to receive checks or to pay for a direct credit card payment account.

If you have any other method that works as good or better than pay pal, we'd consider it.

I'm confused!

We use them to receivedonations that others can donate in assistingGun Rightsdefense, but yet they are not Gun Friendly enough to allow the use of Paypal topurchase a Firearm or Ammo? “WHO IS USING WHOM”

I wish I knew a better way, as this way is certainly wrong. Maybe those with the connections can find out how the big fish get money donated and through whom, and set this up with some true pro gun right allies.

Mike,

Is OCDO a non-profit? You might be able to qualify for 0% + $0 fees.

Check out Gear Pay www.gearpay.com . They do firearms transactions.

I do not support the anti-firearms attitude/policy of PayPal, but they are convenient. I would be willing to switch to Gear Pay if more vendors would accept payments through them, but till then their supportive stance is not going to get them my trade because getting the goodies is more important to me than being PO'd at PayPay's anti-firearms policy. That's right, I am not a 100%+ 2A-er who would forego a 25% discount on Lithium Ion batteries (my last PayPal purchase) or the convenience of instant ordering/payment without exposing my credit card or checking account info over the internet. So sue me!

stay safe.

It's my understanding that if you PM jpierce, he'll give you a mailing address so that you can send a cheque through the mail as a donation. Then you can donate without contributing to PayPal
