Except the great Commonwealths of Pennsylvania and Virginia :)

Or any of the other 40-some states that don't infringe on the legal right to open carry. Or the dozens of states that don't allow private entities to infringe on legal open carry rights. Or the dozens of states that don't disarm their citizens when they enter an establishment that might make too much money from the devil's brew.

Texas reminds me of the song that goes, "I'm so much cooler online." Texas in fiction is much better than Texas in fact.

In the video, a reporter suggested that DC could get sued for violating the Heller decision. Why would that be necessary? Is there no way to enforce thedecision?

Reminds me of Lester Maddox passing out axe handles and then not fighting the National Guard...

So essentially they will continue to infringe upon the people's rights and defy SCOTUS until such time as they think they can't get away with it anymore.

I read earlier today that DC has TURNED DOWN Mr. Heller's application for a pistol permit! Those bad boys are auditioning for a real spanking by the SCOTUS. They do have one helluva nerve.

you act surprised. I would say that most applications will get turned down until such time as congress is forced to sent it's spoiled little child teh D.C.council to it's room until it can learn to play with it's pawns a little better.

I don't understand why anyone is surprised. DC is the epicenter of idiocy, governmental and non-governmental. Every left-wing wackjob group is either headquatered there or has a significant office. The entire place is a black hole of common sense --- everything goes in, nothing rational comes out. Wall it off and pave it over.

Well, John, I'm not surprised. I think the intent is to changeit a little, get sued, change it a little more, get sued again, over and over until they find justhow far they can go. Lawyers don't cost them anything, it's our money they are spending, remember? Personally, I think SCOTUS should send some U.S. Marshalls over and arrest the lot of 'em. Including the Chief of Police for enforcing a law that is obviously invalid.
