Oh, caltrops? You can make those by twisting two nails over each other, then cutting off and sharpening the heads.

They are really nice because when made right, they always have one point facing up.

Of course, if you drop them on accident, picking them all back up could be a chore. It seems like it would be easier to have string or fishing line attached to them, for easy storage.

MUCH faster and easier to pick them back up!

I think it's called extortion, no matter how slight. And what would prevent him from claiming his slow or noresponse on a flat tire, or something else. He could flatten onehimself in retaliation. He needed to be fired!!

And that's a particularly beautiful one, with hollow spikes designed for rapid deflation of pneumatic tires.

Traditional caltrops are very effective against horses and foot soldiers, but less so against vehicles. That, however, is a brilliant execution.
