RACINE -- Police sent the SWAT team to the 2700 block of Chicory Road Sunday, for a reported suicide attempt.
Someone called police at 11:39 a.m. reporting that a woman had fired a gun; the caller did not know whether the woman had shot herself.
Officers who responded called for the SWAT team’s assistance, because the woman was reportedly proficient with firearms.
The woman did commit suicide.
