Whether or not this is a justifiable shooting, it will be tainted by the fact that this officer was involved in shooting three UNARMED, INNOCENT, people who happened to be driving near a place where someone was shooting.

If this happened in the military and a soldier shot at a vehicle just because he heard gunfire in the area, the soldier would be on trial for murder.

This officer should have been sitting at a desk until the initial situation was completely resolved.

Very bad PR on the part of his supervisory chain.
