Nebraska/South Dakota border

I live in South Dakota not far from the Nebraska state border and often have to cross between the two states. Nebraska does not accept any other state CCW and will not issue a CCW to a non resident of Nebraska.

I sure wish Nebraska would get its act together with some reciprocity with other states. Here in South Dakota we accept a Nebraska permit.

I sure would not want to find myself in a problem with the law in Nebraska for what really amounts to a minor gun charge but could ruin my life.

What is with the Nebraska lawmakers? What is the current state of the CCW debate in Nebraska? Is there any change in the wind?

Not sure but they do have something online for the CCW law. It's probably located with the Attorney General or State Police sites.

Thanks for the link to the Nebraska site. Does South Dakota also have a similar site?

I just managed to spend a week long business trip in Wyoming and SD and intentionally avoided Nebraska's border town Chadron because my SD permit is not respected. I chose instead to drive through Wyoming and buy gas there - so that NE wouldn't get my cash:celebrate ~ time for reciprocity with SD ~
