I have had the thought many times and felt strongly about it.

I want to become aBODYGUARD and it will require about $10,000. I CANNOT afford a loan of any kind.

Anybody have ANY ideas?

I think you can apply for student loans and grants. The interest rate for federal loans is still low, so you would only pay about $50.00 a month to pay off the loan once you subtract the pell grants they throw in if you qualify. Theck out that link.

Have you heard of the shady business thatb they have been in? At this moment I don't feel too impressed with them. I do agree that Blackwater could be a interesting approach.

And since I don't really have anyone or any family here I would not have any restrictions on the whens and hows.

$80-120 K sounds like a desent pocket change:lol:

Sweden has that mandatory service, you know.

I have known quite a few Blackwater guys. I first met some providing protection for some other government agency while I was station in Afghanistan. Their pay starts at $500 a day and goes up from there. Different contracts offer different prices and rotation schedules. The contract you have probably heard the most about is the State Dept. in Iraq. That contract works 3 months on, 3 monts off but other arangements can be made if you want to spend more time in country.

The anti blackwater stuff that has been spread comes from the same anti-war people that are just trying to target a legitimate government contractor since they can't openly attack the troops. Just about everything they claim are lies or missrepresentations.

If anyone is interested, I can contact some friends and get you in touch with one of their recruiters.

Sounds good to me. I'll try any possibility, FM.

Thank you

Why would it cost you $10,000? That seems a bit pricey.

Take look at this and you will know why.

Angelina Jolie does, according a quote attributed to her, in American Hunter magazine, August, 2008, pg 24.

"I bought original, real guns of the type we used in 'Tomb Raider' for security. Brad and I are not against having a gun in the house, and we do have one... . If anybody comes into my home and tries to hurt my kids, I've no problem shooting them."
-Actress Angelina Jolie, as told to the U.K. Daily Mail

That's good stuff, I don't care who you are. :celebrate
