I surmise that you are a youthful participant here. It is always difficult for a (step) parent when their child exhibits thinking independent from their own. You exhibit maturity in seeking the facts and making informed decisions. Be gentle with her and in time she may become more understanding and accepting, maybe even a convert.

Though you are not exactly new to this forum, I still wish to welcome you and offer my congratulations. You and others like you are the hope of our nation.

Suggest that you update your profile to at least let others know in what state you reside. It helps both the moderators and other posters put your remarks in the proper context and you might thereby meet others in your area of similar thinking.
