Hope that wasn't my friend. He's 26, lives near long beach, is on the LAPD, and would be brave enough to open carry.

And yeah, what the heck are cops doing shooting people for seemingly no reason?

The cop that was shot wasn't just walking down the street with his sidearm. According to the latest news report from KFI AM, he was running from the other cops with a shotgun in his hands. He apparently stopped and turned towards the other cops without dropping the shotgun.

If a shotgun points even in my general direction, I would consider it pointed at me. They don't call them scatterguns for nothing.

If it is as was reported, then I would have shot too.

You've gotto be out of your mind!! The press in the good old U.S.A. would never do that!! Everything you read in the press is absolutely, 100% true and correct, and they ALWAYS tellALL sides of the story!!(sarcasm intended)
