Reno crime rate is a good reason to carry

I don't know how many of you who live here in northern Nevada check in to the news on kolotv.com, but the crime rate is starting to resemble L.A.! Every single day there is at least one armed robbery, often by multiple assailants. Look at what's on the kolo site this Sunday morning:

Yes, those are 3 examples in 2 days to reaffirm why I carry. As if I need a reason. Good reads, sad to see it happen here. Its only going to get worse.

Hello!

I don't live in Nevada, but I take great interest in what happens there. Some of you already know that I have family in the Reno/Sparks area and my brother lives in Gardnerville. I plan on a move, but it's years down the road. Anyway, that's another thread.

Yes, I am aware of the crime rate in Reno. It is beginning to resemble the crime in Los Angeles and even in Santa Cruz County, where I live. I can't carry a firearm here. I don't show just cause to warrant a CCW and open carry would get me thrown in jail. I have a nonresident Nevada and Utah CCWs and have a Florida application pending. Whenever I travel, my firearm goes with me.

I agree. Carry all the time!
