I was just Wondering what the interest in a group range trip would be. There is a number of places we could hold it, but I was thinking that the outdoor range at the state park in Brighton would be a good place. Lots of space on the firing line, its a very safely run range (the range officers don't put up with any nonsense), you can shoot your own ammo and its a pretty central location. The only downside is that the targets are static with 25 yd, 50 yd, and 100 yd stations, so it's not optimum for defensive type handgun practice. Best of all it's cheap, just pay the state park entrance fee and then another three dollars at the range I believe. They also have skeet, trap and a sporting clays area. Things are getting pretty busy for me with the school year starting up, but thought this would make for a fun get together.

I asked this same question here in June
    http://opencarry.mywowbb.com/forum30/12129-1.html

Nothing ever really came of it. I think we need to just set a date and location, and then see who's interested. This group seems to respond better when some of the details are already set, at least tentatively.

Thanks for the laugh, SQLtables... I needed it
Giving up our liberties for safety is the one sure way to let the violent among us win.

"Though defensive violence will always be a 'sad necessity' in the eyes of men of principle, it would be still more unfortunate if wrongdoers should dominate just men." -Saint Augustine
