• We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. It will be worth it! :) Please help by posting all issues here.

It restricts possession therefore it's preempted, simple as that. (the second part)

The first part about discharge is enforceable unless it is deemed justifiable such as in a case of defending life or against rape.

Your homework for tonight is to re-read the Michigan preemption law and then give 4 examples of local ordnances from different municipalities that are preempted by it.

Grading will not be on a curve.
