Just wondering if AZCDL is sponsoring anything for GRPC since it's in their back yard this year. A few of us are coming from TxCDL (Texas Citizens Defense League) and we'd like to meet some of you fine folks.

Thanks.

Uh... ya mite wanna spell out those initialisms. There's no CDL in AZ... it's a CCW. (If I'm readin' that right...) A CDL is a Commercial Drivers License. What's GRPC?

More readin', less typin' Rebel. :)

AZCDL is a great organization that promotes our rights in Arizona. You can get alerts of pending bills that could affect us (for better and for worse), and they help craft legislation that will continue to protect our rights - or at least they will after that socialist gets out of the governor's chair and we can get a human in there.

Not to totally take this one off track, but I disagree. I am hopeful that with the advent of texting, some of the utterly ridiculous quirks of the English language will slowly fade into obscurity. I'm all for initialism.

I hope not. When I retired from the Navy... 'took me near 2 years to speak 'sandcrab' English. There's an entire 'guide' to acronyms 'n initialisms... AR 310-1... (if I remember right). It's an Army Reg... but all the services use it. I used to read message traffic in the mornings 'n now 'n then... even I didn't know what they were talkin' about. 'Thought I'd had that stuff suitcased. :? As an Ordie... we had more numbers 'n type designatorsmemorized than a bookie on payday. Rule of thumb was... ya entered the abbreviation then wrote it out in parin's next to it. Then, you used the abbreviation in the rest of the text. 'Not always done tho.

'Seems to be a bunch of us. 'Got introduced to AZ at MCAS Yuma back in 67... I was hooked. 'Did time at NAS Fallon too. 'Guess I'm a desert rat at heart. I belong here.

Hi Gary! Sorry to be so long in responding. Been working on AzCDL's annual meeting invitations and processing memberships from gun shows.

Yes! AzCDL will have a table at the Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC) and, hopefully, will be participating in some of the seminar sessions. Charles Heller, AzCDL's Secretary does all the official recording at the GRPC.

We have been handing out GRPC flyers at all the gun shows we work and we encourage EVERYONE to attend. It's FREE! They give you a ton of FREE books and pamphlets - enough to start a library. The meals are FREE! The food during the breaksis FREE! The reception the first night is FREE!

When I attended the GRPC in Virginia a few years back, I sat next to Neal Knox and we listened to John Lott speak.

I live in Tucson and booked my hotel room at the same hotel as GRPC. I hope to see you then!

Hi Fred. Right now there are three of us coming. We'll look for your booth. I'm looking forward to shaking hands with you guys since you have been so supportive in helping TxCDL get off the ground.
