Up until recently, i just carried concealed. I was uneasy about OCing. I guess 26 years of never seeing anyone carry a handgun in the open just made it seem odd to me.
To break the ice, i started OCing on a small scale...the convenience store...etc, etc. but i didn't have the nerve to OC in a place with more people.
Well, this past weekend, i was in Pahrump, and i OC'd the whole time...im Walmart...on the streets and it felt like a breath of fresh air. Pahrump is a much different beast then Vegas. it gave me the confidence to OC more.
Yesturday i worked up the nerve to OC in town in highly populated areas like a supermarket at dinner time and no one seemed to care aside from a few kids who's eyes got bugged out when they saw my side. Needless to say, i left the store w/o my heart pounding. it felt natural.
IMO, OCing is great because it builds confidence (esp. mine) and yeah, it's my God given right.
there are still places i wont OC in for obvious reasons. Casinos are one of them.
