A question was posed some where on this site as whether we shoot to kill or shoot to stop the threat. That is to shoot to stay alive. This case is a perfect example of "shooting to stop the threat" as his only target of immediate sight were the legs, and thus that is what he engaged. I am a Firearms Instructor working for a state wide police agency and this is incident is text book of that is all you get to stop the threat and stay alive. To All Be Safe, Carry Safe!
