WHERE: Mission Essential, Inc.,
918B Hollywood Dr. Hinesville, GA. 31313

WHEN: Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 1600.

ENTRY FEE: $15 per shooter. Handgun rentals and ammunition purchases are available.

FOR INFORMATION: Call 912-408-2006
or email missionessential@hotmail.com or brothers@coastalnow.net.

This shoot will feature some defensive scenarios. Caliber will not be an issue, however each scenario will be timed. Use a full sized pistol or revolver, bug gun, or rimfire. The match would be more realistic if shooters would use their carry weapons.

Local shooters interested in forming an International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) club, please meet no later than 1500.

Note - This club will not have conflicting schedules with those who shoot at the Low Country IDPA.

I'll be there for this match.

The shooting club sounds like a great idea, butinstead ofjust an IDPA club I'd rather it bean all-aroundcompetition pistol shooting club with all different kinds of matches. We could have everythingfrom IDPA matches tobowling pin matches toslow fire target shooting matches toother kinds of shooting matches. I enjoyed the IDPA match Thursday night, but I enjoyed the two bowling pin matches we had just as much. I wouldn't want this club to be limited to just one kind of match.

I think competing in different kinds of matches would do more tomake all the club members batter all-around shooters than just doing one kind of match would. Each different kind of match would test and honea different part of the shooter's skills.

If we held two matches a month like we were talking about at the IDPA match Thursday night we would have plenty of opportunities toshoot all kinds of matches.

I'll keep trying toget some of my coworkers totry their hand at competition shooting.
