[align=left]This group was formed Aug 9th 2008. It is a group comprised of people who support the 2nd amendment weather they carry open or carry concealed or weather they dont carry at all. It is the goal of this group to change the perspective by the general public of how they see us who support our legal right to keep and bear arms. Second fold is to give back to our various communities to help change this persoective. It is open to everyone regardless of political affiliation or belief. All genders all races. We are one. We are going to have activities as wanted by the group and to include fundraising to support charitable organizations. It is the hope to show people that we are not criminals but we are Americans just like them. Concerned about our 2nd amendment right and our communities as a whole. We will get involved it whatever measures like council meetings etc. to voice our concern about our rights. I am 51 former military police officer have lived here in Seattle most of my life and i want to have this group together so we all can have a voice. If you want further info please e-mail me at redboneshadow@yahoo.com

National Rifle Association http://www.nra.org/

Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) http://www.ccrkba.org/

Gun Owners of America http://www.gunowners.org/

Second Amendment Foundation http://www.saf.org/

Washington Arms Collectors http://www.washingtonarmscollectors.org/

That's all I can think of off the top of my head here in Washington state. Hopefully you are planning on doing something that these groups can't or aren't, and hopefully you are not drawing membership and resources from these effective Second Amendment supporters, but rather are complementing the great jobs that they are doing.

If you are going to do charitable fund raising you might think carefully about where that fund raising goes. There are many charities that do good work but are rabidly anti-gun. It would be a shame if a Second Amendment group was working at cross purposes by supporting those efforts.

I do have members from the NRA and like I had posted it is open tio everyone. I am working with WAC and Dave Workman. Plus all the other organizations here to make sure that our group is off to the right start. I cant help but feel from some that I am being criticized by what I am doing and thats fine. We are an actual group that meets in Seattle and plans activities and plans on changing the way people perviecve all of us who carry open or concealed. Weather that is working along side of them to change their perception or whatever it takes. Education is key as well as training and safety. I will do whatever it takes and have dedicated my life to the protection of 2nd amendment rights I cant make it any clearer than that. If you want to make this a unique and effective group then send me an e-mail to join. I have members from cooporate companies to bikers so its very diverse.

I am not being critical, just wondering about the goals of the organization and how they differ from what is already out there. Although I won't join right now as I have way too many things on my plate I fully support anyone who wishes to preserve our rights.

We plan of having community service programs to work in the community for example supporting food banks, ecological groups, helping the disadvantaged in the community. Generally giving back to our respective communities in whatever way we can either physical or monitary. All in the hopes of letting others see us as just themselves.
