    My avatar is a recent pic of me. We need to get another meet and dinner going.

    The group in E Town was as fine a group anyone would want to meet.

    The Knob Creek Shoot is the 10/11/12 of October and maybe we could meet there.

    You may open carry, but weapon must be tied open. Think about it. We could meet in front of the ambulance at main store at 1300 hours or so.

    Some info : www.machinegunshoot.com Check it out and let's get a bunch of us there!

    This is great I have a CCDW class Sunday and I am giving all the people in the class a copy so they will know more about open carry. As most of you know the class is geared to teaching about CC and not OC. I can also think of one business in Valley Station I am visiting with one as well.
    Thanks jbradford1 for putting this together.

    This is not legal advice. I am not a lawyer.

    Be prepared to have your CC instructor claim that you'll be arrested/ticketed for Disorderly Conduct, which does not apply to Open Carry, without some other cause. Such charges are thrown out in court in KY, to my knowledge.

    Also, there's no such charge as inciting panic, or whatever it's called. It's covered under these two KRS, to my knowledge, but does not apply since it's a legitimate purpose.

    http://www.lrc.state.ky.us/KRS/525-00/055.PDF

    525.055 Disorderly conduct in the first degree.
    (1) A person is guilty of disorderly conduct in the first degree when he or she:
    (a) In a public place and with intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance, or
    alarm, or wantonly creating a risk thereof:
    1. Engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous, or threatening behavior;
    2. Makes unreasonable noise; or
    3. Creates a hazardous or physically offensive condition by any act that
    serves no legitimate purpose

    Open Carry is a Constitutionally protected right in Kentucky. I believe intent to cause alarm has to be proven here, and OC is a legitimate purpose (self defense). You'll find many people agree with this here.

    http://www.lrc.state.ky.us/KRS/525-00/060.PDF

    525.060 Disorderly conduct in the second degree.
    (1) A person is guilty of disorderly conduct in the second degree when in a public place
    and with intent to cause public inconvenience, annoyance, or alarm, or wantonly
    creating a risk thereof, he:
    (a) Engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous, or threatening behavior;
    (b) Makes unreasonable noise;
    (c) Refuses to obey an official order to disperse issued to maintain public safety
    in dangerous proximity to a fire, hazard, or other emergency; or
    (d) Creates a hazardous or physically offensive condition by any act that serves no
    legitimate purpose.

    Wow!!! How far we have come!! We have a CC instructor promoting open carry? This is great!

    Oh, and the charge I was referring to earlier that does not exist in KRS, is "disturbing the peace". Nothing shows up on http://www.lrc.ky.gov/search.idq for it, but there are plenty of hits on "Disorderly conduct", which does not apply to lawful open carry.
