FOIA strikes again!

I hope dan knows this wasn't to invade his privacy but to lambaste the gov't of Norfolk.

Wow. That's one hell of a college fund.
Ithink this small informally arrived at settlement is a prelude of much larger settlements which will be paid by taxpayers to settle the police abuses of the Chet Szymecki and his wife at Horborfest - that suit is moving forward under the same lawyer who obtained the settlement for Dan Moore.

I would expect the eventual settlement or jury award for the Szymeckis will add at least one zero to the end of the $10,000 that Dan received.

Again thank you Dan for fighting the good fight.

To Chet Szymecki and his family go our best wishes.

It is a shame that the taxpayers must bear this burden with no personal liability assigned to the politicians. As long as there are those that would trample our rights, we must remain ever vigilant and responsive.

That would buy a lot of copies of gun rights flyers and VCDL bumper stickers :), or everyone could get a "Black Man with a Gun" hat. :p

Glad to hear it worked out for you, Dan.

Peace

congrats Dan,

Just read your full thread regarding the incident, if you ever need a friend, I am positive you can find a few here, screw the ones who think law breaking cops are right and you are wrong.

I'm surprised there wasn't a nondisclosure clause.

Congratulations Dan!
Oh but there was a non-disclosure clause - it applied to Danibus.
The information was acquired by someone else with a FOIA request.

Norfolk can run but they cannot hide. :celebrate
