Interesting. I tried to search and find summaries of what the 10 steps are, and finally found them:

All despots or would-be dictators follow the same 10 steps:

1. All invoke a terrifying internal or external threat.
2. Establish secret prison systems where torture takes place, outside the rule of law..

As Tipsy said, this is an open carry forum. Even if most of the members are politically like-minded, you should not take it personally if you're not one of them. I, for one, would be happy with a Canadian-style socialized medical system. Really. But that's not what this forum is here to discuss and it doesn't bother me if everyone else thinks me a fool for believing so - we (generally) agree about gun rights, and there are other forums where one can debate political economy. I take everyone else's membership in other political parties as seriously as I take their tastes in music or fashion - nothing to get excited over. We still have common interests and that's why I'm here.

Are we all "ignorant" or just most of us? With the overwhelming majority of posters putting forth overwhelming support of the Bill of Rights, not just the 2nd Amendment, how does that correlate with your opinion in which we are "allowing people to take (our) rights away"? Just curious...

I pretty much agree (well not with the Canadian-style socialized medicine part as if we had that I would be dead now) but with the rest of it. There are only a few people who hop into threads and screw them up with their political views. Most people start separate avoidable threads, or just jump in and make a comment and leave it alone. We know who the few trollish posters are who are happy to destroy any thread and I think most of us pretty much ignore them now.

I can well understand the objection to poor titling leading to someone inadvertently visiting a political thread. But once that has happened, leaving and ignoring it in the future is easy enough.
