I looked up the website. They are made in Hillsboro, Oregon. I grew up in Portland, Oregon and like the people up there. They claim to make all their holsters and belts up there, in the United States. That's the good part.
The stitching appears to be machine done. If the thread breaks from wear or snagging or whatever, it will unravel and the seam opens. Hand done double-stitched holsters - or any leather work - is stronger and lasts longer.
The retainer strap is an old and proven design. However it has been superseded by new designs that are just as secure but quicker to open when drawing the weapon. It gets in the way when holstering, too.
The basic holster design itself is an old one. To my mind and eye, it is rather basic and not very inventive. I also noted on the website the same holsters are shown as the 'Cowboy Action Shooting' holster selection. Which does not impress me with selection and variety of design.
What I cannot see is the manner in which the belt hanger or loop is affixed. To me, that is one of the most important aspects of the design. A poorly designed or affixed hanger is problems from the start. For one thing, the hanger must keep the holster and gun on the belt in the correct place and at the correct angle. Even more important, it must not fail and fall off.
I looked at the belt designs. They are all single thickness belts. They work, but I've found a double thickness belt sewn together gives more support and lasts better for carrying a holstered gun - and reload, flashlight, pepper spray, handcuffs, lensatic compass and whatever else one must have. The belts are probably suitable, but they look like the same thing one finds at the local uniform or sporting good shop.
All in all, the items shown on the website do not fill me with great confidence.
I do like the snakeskin inset look. If the holster were a more modern design with an appropriate belt loop or hanger and double sewn seams, it would be a proper holster.
