CC at Key Arena during an event

I'll be headed to the Key at somepoint in the near future, and, while I don't care to OC at that point, I also don't want to be defenseless after the event while walking back to my vehicle (and travelling back and forth).

So, my question: is there a metal detector or guys with wands at the Key that would make me leave my gun in the car, etc.??? I'm sure if I was "discovered" that I'd be escorted out and trespassed, (which I don't agree with) but I'm wondering the outcome if I just keep a low profile (which is what CC is, right?).

Thanks for your responses!

Every concert I have gone to at the Key they do the pat down and wand, and no weapons signs posted. They have been Metallica concerts or something similar, so it may be different if you are going to see Britney Spears or Yanni. :celebrate

The event would dictate how tight security is. What are you going there for?
A concertof a well-known vocal performer.
Most likely pat downs and lift the shirt checks. No weapons of any kind usually. That includes pocket knives if they are thurough in their check.

I wouldn't pack your biggest gun and I've gone to enough sporting events and concerts there is always one place they don't check, and I don't blame them. Just put it at the noon position and go from there. :)

Anyone been in through the Suite Entrance??? More/less/same amount/thoroughness of security there?

Also, am I going to be able to assess what kind of pat-downs/wanding/etc will happen BEFORE I give up my tickets, so if it's going to cause a problem I'll have an opportunity to go get the *camera I forgot*in the car?

Went to the Weezer show last night and wondered the same thing. I didn't carry in, but I absolutely could have. No pat down, no metal detectors. It is Weezer though. The crowd is much different than that of a metal, rock, or rap show. That could be the reason why.
