There have been two attacks downtown within nearly as many weeks by knife weilding thugs. Yet downtown business associations still bleat the sheeplike "downtown is safe" while sidewalks crumble, and building paint peels...

There are a lot of nice places to shop downtown, but if I'm not going to work (and sadly unarmed) I've always at least got my Kel Tec with me...
