What a day!

Tom Lambert, with the Virginia State Police, has just sent me a copy
of a new reciprocity agreement between Virginia and Mississippi!

The agreement will be posted on the VCDL web site shortly.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The agreement is BRAND NEW and is not on either the
Virginia State Police web site nor on Mississippi's site yet. I
SUGGEST **NOT** CARRYING IN MISSISSIPPI UNTIL VIRGINIA IS LISTED ON
MISSISSIPPI'S WEB SITE AS A RECIPROCAL STATE.

ALSO:

I just spoke with Virginia State Parks and they are evaluating the AG
opinion on open carry. FOR NOW, DO **NOT** OPEN CARRY IN VIRGINIA
STATE PARKS.

Great news for Virginians!

There's no added benefit for Utah permit holders as Utah and Mississippi already had reciprocity.

for one it gets you reciprocity in Alabama, and Georgia, and delaware among others that do not currently have reciprocity with VA.

Yep, its up to 35 states now if you have your Virginia resident and Utah non-resident permits.

Cant argue too much about the $10 renewal fee either! Its been a very popular class for us.

OC is clearly a right in Ms., so what has the OCer gained? Maybe there are some areas that you can go in Ms. with a permit that you cannot go while OCing??

Looks like the VSP has added Ms to their list but Ms hasnt added Va. yet...

I was checking the Mississippi site and they still don't show Va. on their reciprocity list. Anyone know if there is a problem or are they just very slow in updating their list.
