Dukester,

You are such a blue neck.

I really don't have a dog in the fight as I will vote Libertarian.

The complete lack of heuristic logic in your post is amazing. George Bush may be a Republican, but his economic policy certainly has not been "right wing." It really has been the classic spend, spend, spend left wing economic policy.

To blame world economic failure on the Republican Party is silly. The Democrat party certainlyis as much to blame in our tenuous situation as the Republican Party.

Yourhate filled attacks really are quite inappropriate and offensive. John McCain is a part time gun grabber but I really think your ignorance shows when you call him a coward. His well documented performance in a place called the Hanoi Hilton proves your lie.

Intelligence is difficult to measure, but Obama is the one that has shown again and again that he cannot think on his feet.

Your vile anti-Christian comment shows a backward, ignorant and intolerant side which I think you will find is not welcome in this forum.

In short your intolerant, illogical and ignorant rant will probably not change any undecided minds here and, I imagine, make supporters of Obama who discuss issues with logic and reason cringe.

We do have to thank GWB for one thing. He has driven the re p u gn ant party into political oblivion for a generation. Heckuva job Georgie.

Dukester, you're just a political hack and to listen to you is along the lines of reading the daily kos. You are the type who would blame everything on republicans regardless of who is really at fault because you are just a leftist idealogue who doesn't let little silly things like the truth get in the way of your opinion.

Economic disaster? For the past 2 years...plenty of time to divert such a disaster the democrats have maintained a majority in Congress. Years before that it was a democratic push (along with some republican support) that made it paramount to give unqualified people houses they couldn't afford. And if you were against that measure than the democrats called you a rascist.

Barney Frank, a Democrat representative from Massachusetts was the architect of this entire disaster and now we come to find out that he was bangin one of the higher ups at Fannie Mae.

So while I say there is blame to go around, your asinine assertion that its all republicans fault and Obama is some messiah like figure with his democrats as his disciples are going to walk on water and save everything (when in fact they will most likely make the situation worse) only goes to show your bigotry, ignorance, and one sided delusions. Some call you a troll...I call you a political hack with nothin better to do than reguritate what you read on the daily kos, msnbc and whatever you heard at your Obama indoctrination meeting.

Getting back on topic...

I think it sad that the world only knows of two candidates (The Authoritarian and the Senile One), and never even gives mention to the others (Bob Barr).

Look at these presidential debates: There's only two candidates at them. Where's the Libertarian party? Or the Green, Socialist, Communist, or even the Nazi party. But I suppose that is for another topic.

The idea that the NRA is endorsing a candidate that doesn't even support gun rights in the first place (Oh, he does now that he's running in '08 but has never up until that point) is kind of like a Sheep voting for a Wolf.

Why didn't they support Bob Barr? We all know Bob Barr will never win, but even so, should all the McCain supporters vote for Obama because McCain isn't going to win? That makes no sense.

Why? This Financial Mess happened under the Bush Regime period. The republicans have had control of congress for 6 of the last 8 years and the democrats never ever had a true veto proof majority during that time. Hank Paulson Treasurer Secretary and Phil Graham, remember Graham saying that Americans are a bunch of whiners. Cannot forget Grahams connection with the Enron Debacle, you remember that don't ya? You betcha you do. Paulson, the Treasurer Secretary didn't even see this coming, Graham is one of the big contributors to Deregulation a long with Reagan, McCain and Bush. I call you an idiot with your head in the sand. Republicans do not and I repeat do not know how to Govern. The 1929 Crash that created the great depression was you guess it under a Republican Regime under the leadership of Herbert Hoover. It took FDR to clean up the mess. Sound kind of familiar don't it. Bush puts the economy in the tank and it will take a Democratic President to clean up the mess!

There you go, watching too much of FAUX News.

First let me preface this by saying Howdy to all Y'all. As one of the newer members I'm proud to see there's plenty of like minded people out there as dedicated to the protection of individual self determination as I am. I am a Retired Sergeant Major US Army. Served almost 25 years. My Fire wall would not let me post here til I figured out how to lower my setting for cookies LOL. But I've been reading the commentary for a month or better.
Now,,my turn to add to the discourse. If I offend anyone,,so be it, but in truth, I will attempt not to,,somewhat HA!
Dukester,,what are you even doing here, besides spreading hate and discontent? Your spouting of the DEM litany truly is distasteful. Aside from the fact that without your dribble things might get boring, you're mindless Oooo Baaa Maaa sounds like the zombies from Night of the Living Dead.
Obama has voted for every gun control policy that has come down the pike.
And I'm not really that fond of McCains policies,,but he's one of the last real American Heroes. Any man that can spend 5.5 years in a Prison camp has my respect
Besides he'll have "Sarah" to keep him straight on Gun Rights.
I've been a member of the NRA since 75. Sorry folks,,but if not for them, we probably wouldn't be having this discussion because no-one would have any guns, just my read on it. Have seen too many times that they were the only voice in the wilderness.
AS for me,,to Quote Mr. Obama,,I'll cling to my guns and religion,,as for those of you who intend to vote third party,,sorry but you're wasting your vote,,you wanna lose your guns,,vote third party and let Obama win this election,,then start digging and burying,,cuz he's coming for your guns,,just me sayin it:shock::cuss:

You use a flawed metaphor. The truth is that the NRA is supporting a mean spirited sheep dog (McCain)that occasionally snaps at the sheep. This is so that the pack of wolves (ie Obama, biden and gang) don't come in and eat all the sheep. So I'd take the snipping sheepdog over the ravenous wolves. Would I prefer a more faithful sheep dog? Sure...but he (Barr)is over by the lake licking himself.

Dukester you are such a blue neck. Fortunately we do not now have regimes in America. The last scum bag who ignored our constitution, ruled by fiat and really set up a regime was Franklin Delano Roosevlt. ThankGod he died so Truman could clean up his mess and return the Republic back to the people. Do you think BHO will deliver us our second regime? Yikes! (No defense of Bush, he certainly has given the next President all the tools he or she would require to form a real regime.)

If there were Democrats in the senate that wanted to stop deregulation, it was possible. Republicans in the senate did not have enough votes to stop a filibuster. Democrats in the senate led the charge for green lining. Fannie MAe and Freddie Mac were creatures of the Democrat Party. Say didn't BHO get lots of $$$ from ... oh never mind facts Dukester, just continue to spew rhetoric, everybody here will agree with your rants..I mean logic.

Bringing this thread back to some tangential topic for firearms and open carry, did you hear,Dukester thatBarak Hussain Obama is an advocate for the wholesale violation of the civil rights of Americans? What a hypocrite, a civil rights professor that actively advocates for violating civil rights.

Barr 08

gun grabber = civil rights violator.

P.S. Your pejorative and pugilistic references to hillbillies are quite embarrassing to our forum. You really need toobserve how others in this forum conduct themselves.

You only have to go back to our current president who has decimated the Constitution.

Rick Davis who is McCains Campaign Manager has ties with Fannie Mae:

WASHINGTON — One of the giant mortgage companies at the heart of the credit crisis paid $15,000 a month from the end of 2005 through last month to a firm owned by Senator John McCain’s campaign manager, according to two people with direct knowledge of the arrangement. The disclosure undercuts a remark by Mr. McCain on Sunday night that the campaign manager, Rick Davis, had had no involvement with the company for the last several years.

Your wrong about Filibusters. Thats just about all Repubs did was Filibuster the last 2 years.

Let history show and you know it will. Bush will go down as one of or thee worst president of our life time, I guarantee that! He will leave 2 mismanaged wars and a financial melt down and the stain on Katrina. "Your doing what heck of a job Brownie". Bush was so out of touch like McCain will be.

Hillbillies or Rednecks does it really matter...

I'll have to hand it you NeoCONS. You have two on your ticket who have both been found guilty of ethics violations. McCain for the relationship with Charles Keating and his role in the Keating -5 S&L Scandal and now Sarah (I lie 4Jesus) Palin and her role in TrooperGate. It just keeps getting better and better. Really defines the term CON, doesn't it?

Spewing Hate? Are you nuts? Just attend one of your McCain/Palin Rallies and you will see all the hate you want to see. All the stupid nut jobs or low information people in your base is all you need to see.

Really didn't need to hear your Bio. Its not like we're in Grade School introducing each other during the first day of class!

At least Obama has plans for this nation and a vision. McCain is way out of his league who doesn't even have a clue of what reality really is and well we won't mention Palin, she is just an idiot!

Don't worry all you NeoCONS. When Obama takes office the sun will still rise in the east and set in the west and I will still have my P220 and SP101 when all is said and done.

As for the Keating deal, IF you'd bother to investigate John McCain was exonerated of any and all charges. As for Troopergate, The Nice State Trooper taser'd his own step-son and BTW was drinking in his own Cruiser, and the fella that got fired was insuboordinate and disrespectful.
Sorry pal but IF you'd pay any attention there's been some REAL nasty folks spouting about Gov. Palin at rallies and elsewhere. On the TV, I guess it's okay tho' because it's okay for you Obama Zombies to do that but not anyone that supports McCain.

Love how the poll lacked....a supportive anwser.

I will be voting for McCain/Palin., I will also be voting against Obama. ...with the same vote, not the acorn way!

The fact that the NRA sees Obama as a threat to our rights and McCain as the only candidate chance to put someone pro-gun(yea, we can argue over the degree...).

If the NRA had backed anyone other than McCain they would have been giving Obama the election. They unlike some are not suggesting act stupidly and throw away our vote and get Obama by defalt.

I am not against third party candidates...but voting for one in this lection and to think you are supporting the second amendment. ....well, is to cut off your nose to spite your face. I wont be throwing away my vote.

Glad to oblige...

Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".

Read the rest here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keating_Five

Here is a clip of the TrooperGate Findings:

Sarah Palin's reaction to the Legislature's Troopergate report is an embarrassment to Alaskans and the nation.
She claims the report "vindicates" her. She said that the investigation found "no unlawful or unethical activity on my part."
Her response is either astoundingly ignorant or downright Orwellian.
Page 8, Finding Number One of the report says: "I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act."
In plain English, she did something "unlawful." She broke the state ethics law.
Perhaps Gov. Palin has been too busy to actually read the Troopergate report. Perhaps she is relying on briefings from McCain campaign spinmeisters.
That's the charitable interpretation.
You can read it all at the Anchorage Daily News here: http://www.adn.com/opinion/view/story/555236.html
Can you back up your claim of Obama Supporters being hateful against McCain/Palin?
Of course there might be those who might say something to the effect of "Burn her at the stake she's a witch-doctor".;)
Never mind her husband was a member of the AIP Alaska Independance Party and active in the Secessionist Movement who were anti-american therefore a commie regime according to you nutjob ideologies!

The ACORN Organization has been around for 30 years and all of a sudden it is a big issue for you nuts? I suppose if your going to lose by a landslide as some reports and recent poll trends may suggest you have to go after something cause you surely can't go after the issues, cause you have none? Your party has completely decimated this country after 8 years of Bush. McCain is fighting an uphill battle and he is going to lose. Whats McCain have to offer??? Nothing!

Yes, Obama paying an organization that has been indicted for vote fraud is and issue for us nuts. And so is the Brady campaigns endorsement.

Show me a link that is not associated with FAUX News, NRA or any other RightWing NEOCON Rag like the National Review and I'll look it over...

Heres what I have:
ACORN officials acknowledge that the group lobbied for passage of the Community Reinvestment Act in 1977, which required banks to try to increase lending to low-income home buyers. The group also urged banks, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to loosen requirements on mortgages available to low-income applicants.

But ACORN officials, supported by several economists, say it is absurd to blame the crisis on the Community Reinvestment Act, which has been in place for decades. They also note that much of the subprime lending came from investment banks not under the act's jurisdiction. In fact, they say, they have been pressuring federal regulators since 1999 to crack down on many of the institutions that provided subprime loans.

"ACORN, more than any other group, pleaded with regulators . . . to please, please regulate these institutions because they were stealing market share from banks that were making safe loans and inflating housing prices," said Mike Shea, executive director of ACORN Housing, an arm of the group that focuses on building low- and moderate-income housing.

ACORN fired back yesterday at the McCain campaign, releasing a 2006 photo of the Arizona senator delivering the keynote speech at a pro-immigration rally in Miami that the group sponsored. "Maybe it is out of desperation that Senator McCain has forgotten that he was for ACORN before he was against ACORN," Lewis said in a news release.
