It took 30 seconds to find many 'suspect' charities. I stopped looking when I found this one noted below. Thanks a bunch NOT

ETA: I followed these coding experts' instructions to learn how much you have given to Sarah Brady and found that 'goodsearch's programming is defective. If they are in error on so small an issue, do you really expect them to run an effective search engine.

Surely there are many on Goodsearch's list that I, also, do not consider worthwhile, but the point is YOU can designate which is the beneficiary of your efforts.

IMO, SAF deserves the support. If your favorite cause is not currently selectable, there are procedures to have it added.

Document from their site how much money your charity has received.

    http://www.goodsearch.com/About.aspx#faq9
How can I track the number of searches and revenue generated for my charity or school?

After you have entered your charity in the "Who do your GoodSearch for?" box on our homepage, just click on the "Amount Raised" button. Here you'll see in real-time the number of searches and money raised.
Enter "Brady" and see a dropdown box. Select 'Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence' and click 'Amount Raised' et voila see the generic 'estimate amount raised' page. Including

The data provided herein is estimated. For example, the revenue does not reflect certain adjustments which may be provided for in the terms of service (e.g. adjustments due to fraudulent searches, or returned or cancelled merchandise). A long time ago I and my office stopped participating in the Federal/United Way campaign. We noted racist charities receiving UW funds and protested. We were put off by their disingenuous explanation that all member charities shared a fixed fraction of the contributions and we could not reduce the funds to COBRA by designating a home for unwed mothers.
