I just returned home from a 2 week hunting trip to Eastern Wyoming, Wheatland, Glendo, Chugwater area. During my trip I carried a sidearm in the openand had no problems what so ever. I do have one specific story to mention that made me feel very good.

During our Antelope hunt we were on a ranch close to the Glendoarea and my buddy had just harvested his animal. He and I were dragging it to the edge of the County road when we noticed a WY Game Warden vehical approaching. We continue as normal until he walked over to us. I had a Remington 700 across my back and a .44 mag Super Blackhawk on my hip in the open. My buddy also had his rifle across his back. The officer was only there to check my buddy's hunting license and make sure the animal was tagged properly. He never asked me about my rifle or my pistol and I know he knew I had it on. He acted very professional and was very nice to both of us and he obviously knew the law.

So I just wanted to pass on this experience and say this Game Warden did a fine job. I look forward to my next trip back to Wyoming.

Welcome to Wyoming! I'm glad you had such a good experience, but none of us are surprised.
