First, if you care to respond, please keep it to verifiable facts, with citations if possible.

So-

Does anyone have good information on what kind of standards must be met in Washington State to open a firearms facility such as a firing range? I'm looking for environmental and other restrictions.

Second,

What is the general interest level in the following:

1. Firing Range membership - indoor, sidearms, with shooting supply store

2. Firing Range membership- outdoor, long guns, with shooting supply store

3. Firearms Training- General Safety Intro

4. Firearms Training-Hunter Safety

5. Firearms Training - requirements for licensing such as Oregon's CPL requires

6. Firearms Training - tactical pistol

7. Firearms Training - Tactical long arms

8. Firearms Training - Long range shooting (sniping, hunting etc.)

9. First Aid/CPR training

10. Disaster prep training and supply store

11. Anti-terrorism awareness training

12. Tactical driving training

13. Varied martial arts- armed and unarmed

14. Personal security courses ranging fromkidnapping preventionto information security such as personal computing and identity theft prevention.

A- Not interested

B- Interested - but not in that area

C-Interested

D- Very Interested.

I'm just trying to gauge feasibility at this point.

Location would be somewhere in SW Washington- figure I-5 corridor between Tacoma and Portland...

In that area and with most of what you have identified as course material and services, you are going to have to compete with Firearms Academy of Seattle. FAS hasa pretty solid reputation and you may find it tough to get a new business going in their shadow. Power to you though, options are always good. I'd like to see a first class facility with some of this stuff offered in the Everett area.
