If he is elected he may not take guns away, but he will attempt to increase taxes on guns and ammunition and attempt to pass waiting periods all to discourage gun ownership.

PS: Please don't respond with a letter. This government wastes billions already - save a stamp please.

Not an issue. Webb doesn't respond to constituents, if my track record is any indication.

Don't be so sure. The democrats will have a supermajority of 60 votes (or close to it) in the Senate. If they get 60, they can't get through anything they want, particularly when you throw in a few rinos. Folks like Schumer, Durbin, and Feinstein are already licking their chops. They democrats will also get at least 250 seats in the house.

I believe Obama when he says that he is not going to take our guns away. He won't. What the snake charmer will do is get legislation passedwhere you can have your guns but they have to be broken down, locked with a trigger lock, then locked in a gun case and that will then have to be locked in a combination dial safe that requires 5 numbers for the combination. The ammo cannot be within 50 feet of the gun nor can it be on the same level in the house as the gun.

Unfortunately, I truly believe that in his heart of hearts, down deep where you don't talk to the press, or even your own party members in public, he believes that gun owners are domestic enemies of the state.

He almost said it in his famous Pennsylvania "gun clingers" speech. If that speech hadn't been met with such outrage, who knows what his next one would have said.

This reminds me of:

Areyou a Democrat, a Republican, or a Redneck?

Here is a little test that will help you decide.

The answer can be found by posing the following question:

[/size]
#You're walking down a
deserted street with your wife
and
two small children.

Suddenly, an Islamic
Terrorist with a huge knife
comes
around the corner, locks eyes with you,

screams obscenities, praises
Allah, raises the

knife, and charges at you.

You are carrying a
Kimber 1911 cal. 45 ACP, and you are an expert shot.

You have mere seconds
before he reaches you and your family. What
do
you do?

Democrat's
Answer
:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor or oppressed?

Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?

What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it?

Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message
does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be
content just to wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my
family get away while he was stabbing me?

Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint and weed day and
make this happier,
healthier street that would
discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing!
I need to debate this with
some friends for few days and try to come to a consensus.

And don't forget a 500% tax on ammo.:what:

Perhaps the heat (ane the reality) has become too troublesome to refute? I have no respect for Democratic (sic) politicians. After 50 years of being systematically bamboozled and lied to by these scum, I have no reason to believe anything they say unless I can independently verify it for myself. The party and its leadership is completely corrupt and not to be believed. Those who believe otherwise at this late date are "useful idiots" in the truest sense of the word.

Americans who vote for the socialist ticket will get what they deserve; unfortunately, if they win, the rest of us will suffer the same fate, and so will our children. They deserve better than Fabian socialism in this fine land.

God save this country if the socialists gain power and make the tactical error of attacking the 2nd amendment......
Man, you have me so confused, I can't tell if you are referring to Republicans or Democrats

:p
True. You can say that about either party. However the magnitude and frequency of such corruption, lies and abuse of the Constitution OVERWHELMINGLY occurs on the left. All you have to do is look at how Obama has already acted against the 1st Amendment while campaigning. How many times now has he used police and legal force to quiet people who have spoken out against him (including NRA)? How much of his past does first refuse to acknowledge and then lie about?

He isn't going to take away our guns. What he will do is redefine what assault weapons are, what automatic weapons are and make it all but impossible to purchase new guns.

This guy is dangerous which is why I PLEADED with everyone to register and get their friends/family to register and to educate! I hope that everyone did....laziness/complacency is going to be what gets him elected.

In regards to electing senators/congressmen.....you reep what you sow. If you vote for an individual senator who allows for a party majority you will generally get whatever the partyline is for that party. Vote for Warner....elect a Democrat and guess what? You typically get something Democrat in return. These politicians have you fooled.

IN REGARDS TO DRILLING NANCI PELOSI TOLD THEM THAT THEY SHOULD SAY/DO WHATEVER IS NECESSARY (IN REGARDS TO DRILLING) TO GET ELECTED!

TODAY'S Democrats are after ONE thing and that is not your trust it is your vote. Once inside they can set up more programs intended to get LONGTERM votes via public schooling, welfare programs, affirmative action, minimization of illegal immigration, wealth redistribution, etc. They don't need you to vote them in again. For each of your votes that Warner/Webb may LOSE they will be able to CREATE several more votes through these corrupt programs meant to indoctrinate minorites and the youth. THIS is why they are kicking so much ass this election. They have been molding our youth and minorities via pop culture (MTV, movies, tv, hip hop, rock, Myspace), the media (CNN, NBC, NY Times, Google News, etc) and public education (why school vouchers are important). I wish people would wake up to this.

Have fun with your Warners and your Webbs. I know who I'm voting for....the party consistently with my beliefs before and after the election is over........

I wrote and called Webb.
When I called, the lacky wanted to assure me Webb "supports sportsman's rights, etc, etc" I said the 2nd Amendment nor ANY of the documents supporting our RKBA said a thing about tree-stands, blinds, meat, etc.
Definitely lacking on any particular knowledge about the issue, but the lacky at least responded to my questions.

Now, I get a response to my email. He cites that election laws: "prohibit me from using tax-payer funded resources within my Senate office to discuss issues pertaining to overtly partisan election matters."

Is there any truth to THAT anyways? I know I can't trust the guy now, but is he just piling on the lies in order not to get them into print?

Here's the text:
Dear Mr. XXXXX:

Thank you for contacting my office to express your opinions regarding the 2008 Presidential Election.

Federal law and U.S. Senate rules prohibit me from using tax-payer funded resources within my Senate office to discuss issues pertaining to overtly partisan election matters. I appreciate hearing from Virginians as I serve them in the U.S. Senate. I hope you continue to share your views with me and my staff in the years ahead.

I invite you to visit my website at www.webb.senate.gov for regular updates about my activities and positions on matters that are important to Virginia and our nation.

He is full of it. He just pissed on the memory of his Confederate ancestors by using tactics like that to avoid having to say he supports the gun banning Obama.

You mean like Jim Moran talking about how people are stupid and simplistic to think they should be able to hold onto wealth and oppose wealth redistribution.

I guess he feels about the same on your money as he does with guns - only the government should have them.
