The incident took place near the loading dock area of SUB II. Thevictim was not seriously injured. The suspects are described asblack males, onearmed with a handgun, no further description. Anyone having information concerning this incidentshould call the University Police at 703-993-2810. When walking on campus at night, all are encouraged to not walk alone, stay in well lighted areas, and to use the Escort Service, which can be contacted at the above phone number.[/font]

Well thank God she wasn't armed or one of those piece of crap BGs might have been hurt or even rendered unable to ever harm another human being.

I'm surprised the media hasn't picked up on this yet. My little sister goes to Mason and was telling me about a class discussion in one of her criminal law about self-defense. She started to tell the class about open carry and everyone looked at her like she was nuts. Some people in her class were saying how the police should just shoot someone, that is using deadly force against them, in an extremity and only wound them.:banghead:

I'm a Mason student as well. In one of my classes last year I did quite a few presentations on self-defense and school shootings, and the effects of "gun free zones". Found out another student in the class who has family in Pakistan (andwas therevisiting when Bhutto was assassinated...he said during that time he carried a Glock the whole time),is also a believer of self-defense.



But, it is not uncommon for colleges to withhold crime information from the media, since it gives the school bad publicity.
