I know ... It may just look run of the mill, but I'm proud of it ..... :lol:
It started life as a bone stock Gen. 1 Glock 23. Fresh out of the
used handguns case at my local gunshop for $359.00 .....
After 9 hours of labor ... this is what it has become....

Looks good but I would try to run over the slide with 2000 grit and then give it to someone with a good buffing wheel that knows what they are doing and it will look flat out amazing!

I had considered the buffing wheel approach, but I was actually after this look, (180grit) too keep the glare down ... I'm still considering Glass-beading the slide
with a fine Garnet media.....But then, I'd have to be careful as I don't want to remove finish from the charging grips on the slide.. I like them black to add a little contrast to it.... I don't think I'd be happy with the sandblasted finish tho ...
I'm kinda goin' for the not too bright but not too dull look .... Thanks for your Idea though ... I may just try your suggestion to see what it looks like .... and If i'm not happy with it, I'll just blast it. :lol:

About 5 hours with 180 - 200 Grit Garnet Emery cloth .... and lots and lots of "elbow grease"

Take the slide to a machine shop and have em put a Jeweled finish on it, that'd look sharp..

I wonder if you could do anodizing on the slide??? That would look amazing in an anodized red:celebrate

Hmmm......... never thought of that one .... that would look pretty damn sharp... Maybe something in a case coloring .... or colored powder coat?
