Who signs off the ATF Form 1's in anchorage (Chief of Police or Sheriff)? Im wanting to get an SBR going but Im new to the state. I just PCS'd not to long ago.

ld take it to the troopers office. APD does not do background checks there fore I don't think they would sign it off. and there is no Sheriffs in Alaska.

Yah I've been wondering about this myself. I want to turn one of my shotguns into a legal 14.5" barrel when I get up there, and didn't know who to submit the paperwork to if my address is some parcel in the bush..
