    As long as its not a "demonstration, protest, vigil, etc." you should be good to go according to state law subject, as everything seems to be, to the whim of the local LE agency.

    Where's the get together BTW? Might stop by myself.

    You should be good.

    If it's private property you can carry until the owner, or an authorized representative of the owner asks you to leave. Police can't just ask you to leave without authorization. Posted no-guns signs have no bearing on trespassing, etc.

    If police do ask you to leave I suggest you do. Get a FOIA request (Well, it's not FOIA in alabama, it's called something else but it's the same thing. Forgot the name) and if the cops were never authorized to ask you to leave sue them.

    If it's public property they can't make rules prohibiting guns. I suggest getting arrested and getting a big fat settlement check (or not.. would be nice though )

    Last time I was there they didn't have metal detectors...
